The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating a case in which a kid in the air traffic control center directed planes at the Kennedy Airport in New York, as an audio recording indicates. The child was heard on tape direct directing pilots.
The FAA condemns the act, which occurred last month, as it is not acceptable at a place where a big responsibility is required, even though the kid was under an adult´s supervision. Generally children are not allowed to be in the control center.
The FAA´s approval is needed if an employee wants to take a child on a visit.
