About Us

Shadow Company Elite was first established in 1997 by Ghost and Wardog starting with its first online game "Delta Force" by Novalogic, we recruited a few members but never seemed to exceed more than 8. At the time, online gaming ("clans") was a fairly new idea, with most users on dial up games and communications were limited. With the release of Rainbow Six, SCE quickly dropped DF and started actively recruiting more members. That is when SCE acquired some truly dedicated members, like Deadeye. Over the next few years the expansion packs to Rainbow Six were released and they failed to hold the interest for SCE. After that we fell on some seriously “hard times” where the SCE member base dropped out and we ran very close to closing the clan.. In search of a new game, to provoke more interest back into SCE, Ghost Recon was being released and quickly became the main focus upon building SCE membership back up. Ghost Recon was our major turning point, upon recruiting FalconAlpha, Hexmare and others helped assist SCE with focusing on creating new ways to increase the membership to more than 30+ members. SCE decided to sign up on the BQL Ladders to experiment with participation in league play. This proved to be very successful for the member expansion of SCE and we proved to be a clan to be reckoned with, Shadow Company Elite held within the top 5 for most of our stay in BQL, even holding the number one position several times. It was obvious that SCE was back in business and to this day GR still proves to be a great game with a strong membership base. Seeing the growth potential for SCE, we began to look ahead more to the future of our clan than most of the others. Thru SCE we encountered helpful and kind person known by many as Eek the Cat or "Eek". Eek helped us build a site capable of handling a multi-gaming clan, through his ideas we restructured SCE and created gaming divisions, this would allow us the liberty of experimenting with a game and then choosing to enlisted it or not. He also pushed the idea of creating command structure for each division this would lighten the workload for our current admins. He will forever remain in our hearts for his generosity and contributions. In our attempt to increase our membership to over 50, Deadeye decided to bring Battlefield 1942 into SCE as a "trial game" and the idea of having a multi gaming clan was put in effect, this quickly added to our fast paced growth and increased our membership to over 75+. Preceding that success we enlisted Americas Army and it turned out to be one of our largest and strongest divisions to date. Currently we now have members all across the world. Our membership increases weekly and we have topped at 100+ members in 2004. Anyone that has been in SCE for any length of time will tell you that we are a tight family of friends who all share a common goal, play games, make friends and have fun! We guarantee that you won't find a better clan anywhere on the net - come check us out and see what we’re all about. Life-long friendships are made in SCE, are you “game” enough to be a part of that team?
